PCB Design

Only up-to-date modern CAD software is used to generate PCB design and Circuit Diagrams. These can be produced in various formats and we also possess the capability for multiplayer PCB design to suit your needs. In house prototyping of single or double sided PCB's as well as PCB design rule checking before manufacture are areas of Applied expertise.

Electronics can be manufactured in either prototype or full Production to a clients existing design, or we can design to meet the customerís requirements. We also complete software writing and programming facilities for single chip microprocessors including PICís. We have in house facilities for inspection and test, for general testing or EMC pre test. We also design and produce any specialist test equipment as required.

Mould tools that may be required for enclosures or similar can be designed for a variety of processes including vacuum, injection rotational or blow moulding. Add to this Applied's ability for cable loom assemblies which can be manufactured in house using our wire cut and strip machines, along with IDC and crimping machines and you will see a complete service from start to finish.

Our workshop facilities include - ultrasonic welding, press tools, airless encapsulation, metalworking and welding and we are also able to register Patents and Product Designs as required.

Electronic Manufacturing

Applied Product Design has many years experience in the manufacturing of electronics designs. Generally the small to medium volumes are manufactured in the UK on our site. If however volumes are large enough, then we have offshore partners, including China, where we can have product assembled.

Recent technologies used include Infra Red, radio links, SMS/text interfaces, power supplies, ultrasonic welding and encapsulation.
